I can't believe that we're to week 30 already!! During week 29, Tucker started eating applesauce and avocado. He loves them both! He had a little growth spurt and was getting up three times at night, which made for a very tired Mama! One night for supper, he ate 1 ounce of applesauce, 1 ounce of squash, at least 1/3 cup rice, and half of an avocado. Then, he nursed on both sides and still got up three times to nurse during the night. His eating has gotten back to normal, but it certainly gave me a preview of what it's going to be like to feed a teenage boy!
Tucker has been loving the jumperoo. He will jump and smile for the longest time without getting bored. He also vocalizes constantly, especially during supper after daycare days. Overall, week 29 was filled with smiles, talking, and lots of fun! Here are some pictures from week 29...

Week 30 was a little challenging. Tucker had his 6 month appointment on Friday, and he weighed in at 18.25 pounds and was about 26.5 inches long. These put him on a perfect curve with his previous numbers. He also had to get four shots. He seemed to recover quickly from the shots and did great that night; however, the next couple of days he was very fussy. He started running a fever of about 102 degrees for 24 hours or so. His first tooth also started popped through his gums, so we aren't really sure if the fever/fussiness were related to the shots, his tooth, or a bug but I'm glad that he's feeling a bit better now.
He tried two new foods this week: spinach and pears. He loved the pears immediately and seemed to like the spinach as well. We still haven't found a food that he won't eat, so we're hoping that our little foodie will continue to be a good eater.
He is trying to crawl with all the focus and strength that he can muster, but he just seems to scoot backwards which is extremely frustrating for him. We also let Tucker get in the big bathtub with me this week instead of his little baby tub. He absolutely loved it! I have never seen him so relaxed in water! He just laid on his back and chilled out. After awhile, he got onto his tummy and tried swimming around with a little help. He loved it so much that I'm sure we'll play more in the tub in the coming months. Here are some pictures from week 30...

Tonight, we let Tucker play with his food a little bit. He's played with a spoon before but never when there is food on it. He had a blast and here are the pictures to prove it!!
