Tucker Tuesday: Week 32

Tucker amazes me every week!  This week, I watched him problem solve while he was playing.  He has a couple of balls that he loves, and he was playing with them on the floor on one of his blankets.  He accidentally dropped the ball and it rolled away.  Normally, he would fall to his side from a sitting position and roll over to get it.  This time he pulled the blanket toward himself and the ball came with it.  I'm not sure if it was purposeful or pure coincidence, but he got the ball that he wanted.  I was pretty amazed!

He is still a little veggie lover.  He tried green beans this week and liked them, but the mango that he tried seemed to be just "okay."  He has started to gnaw on our pears after we eat the skin off of them, and I can tell that he feels like such a big boy.  I've tried giving him some of my banana and he makes the most awful (and funny) faces.  He just isn't a fan of bananas yet, but it's so cute to watch him try it!

This week, Tucker came with me to get the oil changed in one of our cars.  I brought a whole bag full of toys to keep him entertained while we waited, trying to avoid an embarrassing melt down in public, but he was the same easy-going guy that he always is.  He loved people watching and listening to all of the new noises.  It was snowing a lot outside that day, and he loved watching the snow flakes through the window.  I didn't even have to dig into my bag of toys!  As we walked out to the car, I paused outside for a moment and we enjoyed the snow.  Like a true Minnesotan baby, he looked up at the large flakes and stuck his tongue out to catch as many as he could!  It was adorable (but I'm still ready for Spring)!

I didn't take too many pictures this week, but here are a couple.  I'll also include another video.  His laugh makes me laugh until I cry.  I hope it will help you get through another cold week of winter!  Please ignore the green beans on his chin :)

Do I have anything on my face?
You mean I wasn't supposed to dump out the entire toy box?

Tucker Tuesday: Week 31

This week, Tucker has been moving a lot more.  He will roll and scoot across the floor to get toys and balls.  It seemed like he had sort of hit a plateau with his movement while he was sick and dealing with sore gums, but now he is making up for it.  He can make some forward movement on his tummy, but he has figured out that the quickest way to get where he wants to go is to barrel roll across the floor.

Both of his bottom teeth are competing to be his first tooth.  If you look at the pictures from last week, it seemed like his right bottom tooth was coming up faster, but now it appears that it will be his left bottom tooth that will come in first.  He has still been drooling and chewing a lot.  He had one bad day at daycare, where his teeth were hurting him and he didn't feel like eating; however, overall he has had mostly good days.  On Sunday, he was belly laughing on several occasions.  He still loves his jumperoo, and he will squeal with excitement as he bounces away.

This week, his new foods have been barley and sweet potatoes.  He really seemed to like both.  I gave him some of my banana for breakfast over the weekend, and he ate it but didn't really seem to enjoy it.  He made more faces than he does with any other food.

Tucker turned 7 months old this week.  Each time he turns a month older, I am shocked that time is passing so quickly.  He has been taking three naps in his crib since the beginning of the year, but on Sunday, I let him snuggle with me for his last nap of the day.  I cherish that snuggle time, and as I watch him roll across the floor, I know that our days of sitting in one place are numbered.

He is constantly feeling his new teeth with his tongue, so you will see lots of tongue, teeth, and smiles in this week's pictures.

Here are some always popular cat pictures.  Oliver is such a good sport.  I think he is putting up with the rough petting and fur grabbing with hopes that he will have a new buddy to snuggle with someday.

And it would be a true "Tucker Tuesday" without a little spit up!
