Our Next Two Adventures!

We've got two more adventures on the horizon.  First of all, we will be going to Hawaii for two weeks with my parents on Saturday.  We will be gone for two weeks, and during that time, we will visit Oahu, The Big Island, and Maui.  We have several boating excursions planned as well as lots of beach time.  We are planning on attending a large luau on Oahu and a smaller, more intimate luau on Maui.  This will be the first time that Jeremy and my parents have ventured down to Hawaii.  I was there for about five days with a couple of girlfriends back in 2009, but we never made it off of Oahu.  We are all so excited to experience a state with such a unique culture and warm weather!

This brings me to our other adventure.  We are going to be welcoming Baby Wilson into our family in July, 2013!  After getting over the initial jitters that come with such a big responsibility, we are both very excited and can't wait for July, 29th!  I had been pretty nauseous during the first trimester, but I'm hoping that things settle down a bit before Hawaii.  I will be four months pregnant when we leave for Hawaii, and I've been cleared by the doctors to do pretty much any activities that I want (except scuba diving) while on vacation.

The soon-to-be grandparents on the Buckingham side didn't believe us when we told them the news.  We had to reassure them that we truly are pregnant and that they will have their first grandchild in a matter of months.  Grandma-to-be Wilson was more trusting and contained her excitement pretty well since we told her about her first grandchild while out at a restaurant for brunch.  There were a few tears and hugs, but I don't think we disturbed the other customers too much!  We got to tell my Grandma about her first great-grandchild while visiting my brother and sister-in-law down in Flagstaff, AZ for Christmas.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves on this one...

We're hoping that the next few months will fly by without any difficulties.  I know that there are no guarantees in life, but I think that it is safe to say that this first born grandchild and great-grandchild is going to be one spoiled kid!
