It finally feels like Paris

We didn't get to go to the modern art museum last night as planned.  We thought that it was free on all Sundays, but we found out that was false information.  Rather than pay for admission an hour before closing time, we opted to explore the area and then try another day.  We wound up with street food for dinner which we would normally save for later in the trip, but we wanted to be able to look around as we ate.  We weren't ready to sit down for any length of time yet after the long plane ride either.  We both ended up with paninis made on baguettes.  They were pretty good and relatively cheap at only 4 euros each.  We wandered past the Notre Dame, which was beautiful at night, and then back to our apartment for some much needed sleep.

This morning, we slept in and purposely didn't have anything planned since we knew we would be jetlagged.  We wandered toward Le Rue Cler, which is a road of shopping.  On the way, I caught a glimpsed of the Eiffel Tower and decided that we couldn't catch a glimpse of the tip without seeing the whole thing.  So, I grabbed Jeremy and we walked toward it.  We lost sight of it a couple of times, but finally made it to a park with some great views.  We snapped just a few pictures knowing that we would be back and headed back toward Le Rue Cler.  We stopped in a wine shop, a cheese shop, and a small super market, and wound up getting a couple bottles of wine, some Camembert cheese, shampoo and conditioner, yogurt, jam, and nutella.  We picked up some croissants and a baguette at the shop below our apartment, and decided that we would be all set for breakfasts and snacks for several days.

Now, we're off to do some more exploring.  Tomorrow, we will probably do a day trip to another town.
