Tucker's 5 Month Photo Shoot

First of all, the video of Tucker rolling over in the Week 20 post should be working now.  These pictures are all from a little photo shoot I did to get Tucker with his "5 month" onesie on.  There are a few other things that I had wanted to try out and I'm pretty happy with them.  Our cats, Bruno and Oliver, were walking all over the place so you will notice that sometimes his eyes wander.  He loves watching them and sometimes he will even run his hands along their back.

Tucker Tuesday: Weeks 21 & 22

It has been a little crazy around our house the last few weeks.  We've been busy preparing for Christmas and celebrating/spending time with my brother and sister-in-law.  A lot has been changing these last couple weeks in Tucker's world as well.  He had his 4 month check up, including shots, at the beginning of week 21.  His weight percentile was down from 77 to 48, so we were a little anxious about that.  The doctors weren't too concerned because he is meeting all of his milestones a month or two ahead of schedule.  They think that he is burning more calories because he is so active rolling over and kicking.  He has been on a growth spurt the last few days as well, so I'm feeling more at ease, too.  He's had a stuffy nose the last week or so, but it is finally getting better.  Tucker turned 5 months old on Tuesday, and it was the trickiest photo shoot so far.  I thought it was difficult to get a good picture with him kicking his legs, but now he is rolling back and forth so much that I can't even keep him in one spot!  When he was about 6 weeks old, I remember being worried that he didn't smile enough and that he was going to be a very serious baby, but now he smiles almost all the time.  We were at Costco today and one of the ladies passing out samples started talking to him, and he just couldn't wipe the smile off his face.  I'm afraid it's going to be very difficult to say "no" to that face!  Here are a bunch of pictures from the last two weeks, including a few smiles.

We spent a lot of time with Grandma and Grandpa for my side's Christmas celebration, so this was a coming sight.

When your only Auntie is a dietitian, you get organic vegetables for Christmas.  Hopefully, he likes the real thing as much as these stuffed ones.  The stuffed carrot and peas are his favorites so far.

I miss them already, but I can't wait to visit them in Washington next year!

You can't leave me alone in my bouncer anymore because I'm too big to lean back and relax.  I have to push myself forward and look around any chance I get.

I swear I have clothes that fit...

...but I'm so happy when I'm naked!!!

I'm not sure if I like this hat, but I will tolerate it for Mommy's pictures.

I don't giggle all the time.  Sometimes, I pout a little (which Mommy still thinks is pretty cute).

This week, we will be spending a lot of time with Jeremy's family and celebrating Christmas with them on Christmas Eve.  Then, we will celebrate with just the three of us on Christmas Day.  I will post those pictures next week and I will try to get pictures up from his 5 month photo shoot tomorrow or Monday.  

Tucker Tuesday: Week 20

As I mentioned last week, Tucker has been working on something very exciting!  He has been trying to roll over from back to tummy all week.  He practiced all weekend with Grandma and Grandpa while Mom and Dad were at work, but he finally did it for Mommy on Monday morning!!  It was almost as if he was saving that trick for when I was there.  So now, he can roll from front to back and back to front.  It won't be long and he'll be scooting around!

He's also been fascinated by his toes this week.  He has been looking at them for a few weeks, but now anytime he gets a chance he will grab them.  It is so cute!  One thing that isn't so cute is all of the blow out diapers that we've been dealing with.  He is sort of between diaper sizes, so I've been doing a lot of extra laundry.

Tomorrow is Tucker's four month check up, so we'll get an official height/weight check and see where he fits on the growth curve.  Check back next week to see how big he is getting!

We're looking forward to spending time with my brother and sister-in-law this week.  They get here on Friday and we get to see them all weekend!  Tucker was only 6 weeks old last time they were here, so he will have a lot of catching up to do with his Auntie and Uncle!

I'm still a spit monster, but it's getting better!

Here is a video of Tucker rolling over for the first time.  I still can't believe that he did it while the camera was rolling.  It took us weeks before we finally got his roll from tummy to back on video.  Please ignore the washing maching noise in the background and my annoying voice.  The first minute is where he shows off his new trick, so you can ignore the last three minutes.
